The Dutch forward returns to the side as the lone striker as Louis van Gaal looks to cope with the loss of his favoured centre-forwards
Memphis Depay returns to the Manchester United starting lineup for Saturday's early kick-off against Watford.

The Dutchman has had a disappointing start to the campaign, but with Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial both injured he will be given the opportunity to shine at Vicarage Road.

Louis van Gaal has had to make a string of changes to the side which beat West Brom in the final game before the international break, with injury and illness ruling out a number of first-choice players.

Skipper Wayne Rooney is ill, while Anthony Martial and Michael Carrick were both injured on duty for their countries. Marcos Rojo also sits out the match after travelling back from Argentina's World Cup qualifying victory in Colombia.

For Watford, Jose Manuel Jurado replaces Nathan Ake in the only change from the team which lost at Leicester City a fortnight ago.

Watford: Gomes; Nyom, Britos, Cathcart, Anya; Capoue, Watson, Jurado, Abdi, Deeney; Ighalo. Subs: Arlauskis, Oulare, Paredes, Ake, Guedioura, Ibarbo, Diamanti.

Manchester United: De Gea; Young, Jones, Smalling, Blind; Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger; Mata, Herrera, Lingard; Memphis. Subs: Romero, Rojo, McNair, Darmian, Rashford, A Pereira, Goss.
